Navidad

Hey Fam,

Hey i hope everyone had a great Christmas! It was pretty weird because it was just a normal day here in the mission, we contacted and sang a lot of christmas songs. Hey i am super sorry that I suck so bad a writing emails, some mondays we only get like 20 min to write. But I really love you all so much and I am grateful for your support :)

Well this week was pretty wild but a lot of fun. We had two days of christmas activities but the best part was that my comp and I got to enter the Temple twice. Also one night as a zone we went outside a Hospital and started singing Christmas songs and gave away hot chocolate. That was a really great experience, people started to take videos of us. Also I got to talk to the fam this week through Skype, that was so great to see you all. I love you all so much :)

Well as far as the work goes its been pretty good. My comp and I opened this area three weeks ago so we have been working really hard to put baptism dates. After a lot of prayers and fasts we have some really solid people who are listening to us. We are pretty excited for the month of January. The hard part is I only have a couple more weeks here because i am going to finish my time as AP so Im trying to take advantage of every opportunity I can while i am here in this area.

Things are going great in the mish, I cant believe i am about a week away of completing one year in the mish. Things are going by so fast but I am learning so much. On sunday I had the chance to give a talk in sacrament so I talked about faith in Jesus Christ. It went really well, the second talk i have given here in the field, it was a lot better than the one i gave 10 months ago jaja.

Oh another cool thing happened this week. Last year went i first came here to Mexico in the airplane i contacted two women. Before they left they gave me there number and told me if i needed anything just let them know. Well the other day I felt a really strong impression that i should call so I did. When i called them they told me that they live in my area...how crazy is that! Here in Mexico City there about 30 million people that live here, so the odds of seeing them was 1 in 30 million. Also my comp and I randomly had changes together to move us to this area 3 weeks ago. We were able to take them to the Visitors Center in sunday which was really cool. It was a really great experience and testimony builder to see how big Gods plan is but how perfect it really is.

I love the mission so much and i know without a doubt that this church is true. I am so grateful that i can be here to learn and grow. I love you all so much and I hope you have a great week!

Changes

Hey,

Well this week i had changes...but it was a little strange. My comp and I both had changes, we changed wards. So we are both APs but now we are in a different ward. that cool part is that we literally live 20 steps away from the temple which is awesome and the ward is great too. So i am about to start my 5th cycle as AP, its going to be pretty crazy.

This past week was super busy. We had to give 3 different capacitaciones; one with those who are about to train, one with the zone leaders, and one for the new missionaries. Also we took the missionaries to the museum on friday then to the airport on saturday morning, we woke up at 2 in the morning to take them which was cool. Said by to an ex comp and some really good friends which was kind of rough but hey its all good. On sunday we had the baptism of Saira, she is really awesome. Her parents are going to get baptised in a couple weeks. We were pretty pumped on Sunday for her and so was her fam. I also had my birthday on monday and my comps bday was saturday. So we have eaten a lot of food and cake these past couple of days. Monday morning we picked up the new missionaries from the CCM, its always fun to go back there. Oh we painted two houses the other day. All that time working with Dad painting houses really paid off. I had a lot of fun painting again, it made me feel a little trunky haha.

Everything is going good here in Mexico, I am loving the mish and all the experiences. I love teaching people the gospel, it makes me so happy to see people's lives change when the understand God's plan for us. I know without a doubt this church is true and that our Father in Heaven knows us all perfectly and knows all are needs. I am so happy to be a missionary and to be able to share the message of the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ to all the people here in Mexico.

I love you all so much and thanks so much for the birthday wishes, it was really cool to see them all :) I hope you all have a great week.

Lo más padre

Hey,

Well another week down here in Mexico and i am loving it. Things are going really well here and i'm learning tons everyday. Oh i got my package from Grandpa Paul last week, it was full of american chocolate. It was so amazing, ll i can say is that my comp and i both gained a couple pounds this week jaja.

This week we had three different zone conferences and they actually went really great. I had a lot of fun, I love working with those missionaries and listening to president teach. One of the coolest things i have learned these past 5 months is how to capacitate missionaries. I used to not like the conferences but now i love them. They give me pre game jitters which is a sweet feeling! But the best part is the opportunity to testify do a group of missionaries that this work is true and that our Heavenly Father loves us more than we can imagine. I love this Gospel so much and I love this time in the mission.

On Sunday one of our converts baptised his son which was really awesome. Now the family is complete and next year they plan on entering the temple which is so great. The baptism was so special, the primary sang songs and my comp and i did a musical number. My comp sings really good so we have been singing a lot lately. We all had tears in our eyes when the kids were singing including our convert who did the baptism. Im so grateful to know the truthfulness of this gospel and have it in my life.

Well i'm doing really good, i am so grateful for your letters and support. Sorry if sometimes i don't have time to write back, sometimes we don't have much time to write. I hope you all have a great week.

Sea Feliz, Sea Mormon

Hey,

This week went by pretty fast but I learned a lot. We had changes all week with the zone leaders and it went great. I love working with those missionaries, they are pretty awesome. The best part is that sometimes i'm with another american comp and its such a crazy feeling walking the streets of Mexico with another white boy speaking spanish jaja. Some of those fun moments here in the mish.

I was able to enter the Temple with some Elders who finished their mish on Friday. Wow it was so awesome, i love going to the Temple. Its crazy how fast time goes in the mish so it was nice to be able to enter the Temple and feel that peace. These next couple of weeks we have zone conferences so my comp and i have to prepare to give 5 different conferences with President. It will be my second one as AP so i feel a lot more confident and a little less stressed jaja. But the best part about them are hearing the insight of some many missionaries and from our mission president. It is such a cool experience, hopefully it all goes well.

Yesterday we had the baptism for Julian. This kid is a champ and his mom is super awesome. She is not a member because of some problems with her husband. But she is really great, she has so much faith. It was a really cool experience to have the baptism for Julian because she was so happy.

I really love this gospel because it gives me so much joy! The life for the people here in Mexico is pretty rough. There is a lot of darkness in the lives of people here because they go through a lot. But the best part about the message of the Restoration is the once a gain we have the light of the gospel. It makes me so happy and i get so pumped teaching because i know with out a doubt this message blesses lives and brings light once again. I know what i am teaching is true and it is such a blessings for me to have the chance to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

I love you all so much and i hope you all have a great week!

Dia de los muertos

Hey,

Wow the weeks are really flying by. In Saturday i will complete 10 months in the mish...how crazy is that. I love the mish so much, i am learning so many great things and i'm seeing so many blessings in my life and in the lives of the people we are teaching.

This week has been pretty cool because right now here in Mexico they are celebrating Dia de Los Muertos. So its been pretty cool to see all the stuff they do here to celebrate this holiday. There are a lot of candy, skulls, shrines for the people who have died, and a lot of bread. Pretty fun to learn about other cultures. Oh other cool thing, the new James Bond movie was shot here in Mexico where my mission is at. Just another cool thing about my mish.

Well we had the Baptism of Salvador yesterday and it went great. We were so pumped for him, he is the son of one of our recent converts so she was so happy. He is 12 years old which happens to be the same age that i had when i was baptized, so i was super excited for him. It is so great to see the families accept the Gospel because we know that one day they can enter the Temple and be sealed for the eternity.

I am doing great here in Mexico, enjoying my last couple of months has AP. Its been such a great learning experience because it really tested me at first but now i can see all the blessings that came from the challenges. We are hoping to see a lot of blessings these next two months. They goal as a mission is that everyone can see three families accept the gospel en . So we are working hard for that.

I love you all tons and i am so grateful for your support :)

#Mexico

Hey Fam,

Wow the weeks just go by so fast. Everyday is an adventure in the mish and I love it. One of the best parts about being a missionary in Mexico is walking the streets of Mexico because you know you are safe and protected :) I love being here and i just get so pumped to leave the house to go and teach.

This week a group of missionaries finished their mish and returned home. As AP we get to spend the day with them and go to a museum (honestly i don't remember how to spell in english). Its a pretty cool time but the worst part is saying by to friends and ex comps. My super happy funny ex comp from Oaxaca just went home along with some other good friends and in these next two cycles my trainer and my other AP comp are going home. But hey its all good because i learned a lot from them.

We had the baptism of Emiliano this week. He is 15 years old and he is a pretty cool dude. When we first started to teach him he had a bunch of piercings and acted a little different. But little by little he started to change and in Sunday we had his Baptism! Its really awesome to see how the gospel changes people and how the Lord has a plan for all his children. We are teaching lots of people, I love teaching the Gospel! Its honestly the best feeling ever to be in a house sharing the joy that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Im doing great and i love you all so much. I love the mission and I love the church. I have seen so many blessings these last 9 months and in my life too. I know without a doubt that this church is true and that the church of Jesus Christ was restored by Joseph Smith. Its impossible to doubt when you see all the blessings and sacrifices that people receive and make to have this gospel in their lives. I know that families can be together forever through Heavenly Fathers plan. I love you all and i hope you all have a great week :)

Conferencia General :)

Hey Fam,

This week was pretty great, I had some great experiences. Conference was so great too, I was able to understand more spanish than the first time in the mish.

So this week we had those changes with the zone leaders. I had a pretty cool experience with in one of the areas. I was able to go to one area thats just one giant hill with tons of houses that are built on it. In the morning all the appointments fell so we had to contact. We are the bottom of the hill and I asked the Elder if he wanted to go up and he said he has never been up to the top but he is down to try. So we started to climb little by little contacting people. The higher we got the nicer the people were and the view as well. There were times were it was really steep and we thought there was no way to go higher. But when we got to the top we found other routes that could take us higher. After about an hour of contacting and climbing we reached the top and it was so beautiful. The view was amazing and we found a couple new people to teach. It made me think about our lives, how sometimes we have to climb a huge mountain. As we are climbing we feel like we have reached the top but when we get there we realize that we can still go higher. Sometimes we think we can only do so much or that its impossible to reach the top. But if we start working hard and look for other ways to reach our goals the Lord always will provide the way. I have no doubt that the Lord loves us and knows us personally. I love this gospel with all my heart and im so grateful for all the blessings ive seen in my life and here inthe mish.

This weekend we had a couple of baptisms. The man has been listening to the gospel for 4 years and after teaching him for about 2 months with the help from the ward he decided to be baptised. Now in one year his family can enter the temple and they can have enternal family. The girl is really awesome too. We have been teaching her for about a month and she was so pumped for her batism. She has had a lot of trials in her life but its was so great to see her joy in her baptism.

I love you all so much and im so grateful for your support. I love the mish and im learning so much everyday. I know without a doubt this church is true because ive seen it change the lives of so many people and mine as well. I hope you all have a great week :)

Love,
Elder Nobmann

P.S. I know i look fat in some of those pics, dont worry its just the angle. Thats my comp and i in the Visiters Center and at the batisms :)

E` Pa` Lante Q Vamo!

Hey Fam,

Well the best part of having a Dominicano as a comp is he teaches me how to say stuff from is country. They speak spanish but with a way different accent. The email heading means something like we are getting better everyday. How cool is that!

Man this week was really great. I was in my area all week with a different zone leader everyday. I learned a lot and we saw a lot of blessings. It was pretty cool in Sunday because a investigator that my comp, the hermanas, and I were teaching had her baptism. Her name is Soccor and she is so great. Super sweet person with a huge heart. It was a really great experience. We sang at her baptism and she was so pumped. I love to see people accept the gospel.

Things are going pretty good, Im learning tons every day. Im loving the work and the people. Im trying to work my hardest and im seeing tons of bleesings from it.

¡Ya tu sabes!

Hola,

Hey everyone, i hope all has been well. This past week was really nice, my new comp is a great Elder and i just love the fact that he is from the domincan republic. He is my second comp from there and the missionaries from there are so awesome.

Well these last couple of days have been a lot more chill. We were able to work in the area from Thursday to saturday without having to do any conferences or go to other areas. We had actually have found 6 new people to teach which is pretty awesome, its so cool. The goal as a mission is to have baptisms every single week. So Elder Matos and i are working for this and if we work hard enough we should be doing that for the next couple of months. Its been great because im finally getting to the point where i can teach all the doctrina easy and simple so the people understand it perfectly. My last comp was a great teacher, i learned so much from him. The spanish is going good too, by the time I finsh as AP i should be at a full sprint with everything. Which is great because i will still have a year left in the mish to work hard and help more people.

Yesterday we had the baptsim of Danny and it went great. He is such a great guy, he is a son of a recent convert. His family is pretty pumped for him and we are too! These next couple of weeks are some of the best weeks as AP. We have changes every day with the zone leaders. So i get to go with a zone leader and work in his area or he works in my area. Its such a great time cause i learn so much. Different ways to teach, contact, and work.

I really do love the mish so much. I love feeling the spirit so strong everyday in every lesson then after seeing people accept the Gospel and later see there lives change. Not going to lie lie some days are super hard but i can definitly say its all worth it :) Thanks for all your support, i hope you all have a great week.

Hola

Hey fam,
Wow its been a pretty long time since ive sent a group email. Not going to lie ive been pretty busy but things have been good. Pretty cool things are going down here in Mexico. Right now the Temple here in Mexico is having a open house. The temple is in our mish and my area is like right next to it. So its been a pretty crazy couple of weeks, tons of people and referrals.
Yesterday we had a baptism for Oscar. Man he is a cool guy, 18 years old but super strong. When we started to teach his family he wasnt really down to listen but little by little he started to accept the gospel. The other day he told us he used to wake up angry or annoyed and now he cant stop smiling. Its was a pretty cool experience, man i have a lot of love for that guy! Other than that Ive just been working hard. Life as assistant isn't the easiest but im learning to enjoy it. Its been a good cycle, I have learned so much.

Here are some pics from the past couple of weeks.  Our baptism that we had and with an elder that just left like 4 weeks ago.

Ganas

Hey fam,

Man this week really just flew by. I was in changes everyday this week with all the zone leaders. I learned so much and i got super tan because no body was home all week so we spent all day in the streets. Pretty sure i talked to just about every single person in my area which was actually pretty fun.

It was cool i got to go on changes for the day with Elder Polanco (my mission dad) and we taught some sweet lessons. I really realized how awesome of a trainer he was and he is honestly one of my best friends in the mish! We spent 3 months together in one of the hardest areas in the mish and every day we worked so hard and it was fun to work hard together one more time. I also spent a day with an Elder form Argentina. That was pretty sweet too, his accent is sweet! He actually has been to one of Ians areas, Bariloche. He said it is so beautiful there but probably one of the hardest areas in the whole coutry. That was pretty cool to hear because I know Ian worked so hard there and never threw in the towel. Thanks for you example bro!

This weekend we had the baptism of Alicia and her son Yahel and it went awesome. They were so happy after and we were too. We have seen such a change in their family and its been such a blessing for me to see there love and excitement for the gospel. Im not going to lie im so tired and sometimes i feel like a machine. But the only thing that keeps me going is the Spirit. I feel like thats the same for everyone, the days are so long and hard but if we continually look for the spirit in our lives the Lord will help us. Im so grateful for the mish and for these hard times. I love you all so much and i invite you to read the Book of Mormon when you are feeling down. I have truly seen mircales in my life when i start to read that book, i know with out a doubt its true and it will bless the life of whoever reads it :)

Things have been really good here in Mexico. My comp and i have been seeing so many miracles in our area. We had a baptism yesterday and it went so awesome. La hermana was so ready and my comp and i were so pumped for her. Oh and her friend came all the way from canada to baptise her. He is an awesome guy, recent convert of 3 years and hes a stud. I wish i could just sit down with all you guys so i can explain all the blessings because its so hard to do over email. But yeah things have been great.

Ive been working a lot with my district and its been so awesome. I had divisions with and Elder who is going home in a month and i learned so much from. It was an awesome day and we had some pretty great lessons. Im really loving the mission so much. Sharing the gospel everyday all day has been so amazing. I feel so much joy in my life and im so grateful for this opportunity i have to serve. I know without a doubt this church is true and that our Heavenly Father know us and loves us more than we could ever imagine.

hey

hey guys,

So i had a pretty amazing experince this week. So we were teaching this hermana who is so ready for baptism. She read the entire gospel principals book. But as we were teaching my comp was doing the whole i got 19 months thing and literally would not let me speak. The whole time he was just trying to be the hero and answer all her doubts. Ive learned with him i just need to be paciente because if i get get angry ill lose the spirit. But it even came to the point were i had a scripture ready to share and my comp looked at me and said...my comp has a scripture but im going to share my favorite instead. I was like youve got to be kidding me. But even after almost 20 mins of him talking she still kept on doubting.

But finally i was able to talk and all i did was share alma 32:21 and my testimony to here. I talked for like 3 mins and just testified of the church and the importance of fe especially in trials. I just shared how ive seen so many miracles through this gospel.  Literally when i finished she had tears and her eyes and she said..thats it i dont have any more doubts im ready for baptism, that cleared it all up. Than she thanked me and said wow im shaking. She showed us her hand and she was literally shaking. After we had the interview wioth our zone leaders for her baptism. We were all together in the room and she told everyone how thankful she was for me and how she believes that God but me in her path and that im so young but i have so much power. We all had some tears.

Honestly blew me away this experince. I only share it with you guys cause it literally was a blessing from the Lord because i have been working so hard and its been a tough month. We had her baptism yesterday and it went great. You guys i just want you to know i know without a doubt this church is true. About two weeks ago marked a year of fasting every week. I think i i only missed 3 weeks in the past year. But i cant even describe the blessings ive seen through those fasts and fast offerings. The Lord has blessed me so much and im so grateful.

I know this church is true and i know families will be togther for ever. I cant thank you guys enough for your help and for preparing me for this mission. I literally think of your guys example every single day here in the mission. How to love, work hard, and be firm. Its made all the difference for me, i love you and thank you!

Love,

Funny thing happen this past week, remember that story about my comp throwing in the towel in as a joke. Well guess he was actually pretty serious so thats been cool. But hey i love every second in the mish because i know its all for a reason. Just got to keep trucking along and learn to forget myself and love everyone :)

We had some really awesome spiritual times this past couple of weeks. The Lord is definitly by our side here in the mish which is awesome. I love you all so much and i hope you have an awesome week!

Feliz :)

Hey Fam,
Wow this week was awesome. My new comp is a great elder. Super funny but likes to work hard. We worked so hard this week and saw so many miracles.
Its been awesome cause my comp only has 6 months left so he told me that he wants to finish strong. Which is great cause i told him we are going to kill it these next 6 weeks and the Lord is going to bless us. We worked so hard that at the end of the week my comp told me he feels like he felt his first week in the mission...dead jaja. I said elder its all good cause eventually your body will become numb to the pain and we can work even harder so dont throw in the towel. After he went and grabbed his towel and threw it on the groung jajaj he did it as a joke and oh man that was funny. But its been really awesome, we saw a miracle every day this week. My comp told never in his mish has he seen this many miracles in one week and we I know its cause weve been giving it our all :)
Man im tired but i love it. Whenever i get tired i just think of 1 Nefi 3:7 and just work harder so i can be filled with the spirit! I know if i give it my all plus more every day the Lord is going to bless us so much. I love this gospel so much and im so grateful to have it in my life and to be serving right now.
I love the mish cause i spend everyday thinking about my invs. and my elders in my district that i dont have any time to think about myself. Its awesome feeling cause it just grows my love for others and this is the only time in my life where ill have the opportunity to completly forget myself and serve others. I know without a doubt this church is true and the book of mormon is true as well, they have changed/blessed my life :) I love you all so much and i hope you all have a great week!

Hey

Hola familia,
Wow its been a crazy past couple of weeks. But ive loved every second of it.
So two weeks ago we had a baptism which was really awesome. Such an amazing experiences, Elder Polanco and i were really happy. Also weve been teaching a bunch and seeing miracles everyday which is so amzazing. Sunday I got to skype the fam for mothers day and it was great. Very grateful for my amazing family and for my amazing mom. I love you like crazy and i hope you enjoyed your day mom :)
Also sunday i finished my 12 weeks of training in the mish. Pretty crazy how fast that flew by but im grateful cause i can understand and speak the language which is a huge blessing. We had changes yesterday and my comp left to another area. But my new comp is great too. He just so happens to be the elder who trained elder Polanco. So in the mission he is my abuelo, what are the odds of that.
But im excited for this next 6 weeks. Im the new district leader which is cool cause i have the opportunity to work with a bunch of great elders. Thanks for all your support and i love you all so much!!

hey

Hey Fam,

Another great week out here in México. This week flew by so fast, cant believe todays monday.

Man this week was kind of crazy. We saw a lot of blessings but a had a couple rough moments. But its all good cause thats the mish. Friday we had changes with the Zone leaders and it was so awesome. The zone leader Elder Villanueva and I busted our butts friday. He is an awesome Elder and i learned so much from him.

The mish has been really good, Starting to feel pretty much fluent with the language. Im loving teaching the gospel and im learning so much. Really grateful for how the Lord has prepared so many people to hear the goepel and has prepared me to teach it. I love that the Lord has a plan for us and that its a perfect plan. We have been making it a goal in our mission to teach and testify of the Book of Mormon during our lessons. I dont think ive ever had more espiritual experinces in my life than when we testify of the trithfullness de el Libro de Mormón. Sincerly have no doubt in my mind and i know with all my heart its true. Really invite everyone to read it and apply it to your life. I know that it will literally change your life and help you feel the spirit of the Lord. Read it and pray about it to see if its true. Its the rock in my life along with the gospel and i know it can help any person in there life.

I love you all so much and thank you for all your support :)

Hola

Hey Fam,

This week went really well. The weeks in the mish are just flying by, its so crazy.

This week we had divisions for the day so i got the opportunity to work with another elder for the day. It went really well, always an awesome experince to learn from others. Later in the week my comp and i had the opportuinty to have our persoanal studies in the morning with our zone leader and ass. to the prez. We talked about the Book of Mormon and how its the key to our religion. It was really awesome. Its so amazing how powerful that Book is. It literally changes lives and when we testify of its truthfullness the spirit is always so strong. I dont have a doubt in my mind that The Book of Mormon is true. And its awesome cause if you want to find out for yourselve all you have to do is read it and pray for an answer.

Saturday we had a baptism for Raziel. Hes 8 years old and a straight stud. During one of our lessons we asked him a question and he nailed it then said This is easy jaja. How funny is that. Sunday when he was confirmed the spirit was so strong had me in tears.   So grateful for the is opportunity to serve. Words cant describe how amazing the mission is. The days are so long and hard but they are so worth it.

I love you all so much and i hope you have an amazing week :)

Familias

Hey Fam,

Another great week in the mission. Really been working hard and talking with everyone and sharing the gospel :) Its so awesome to hear that Ian is home and that him and mom rocked their talks on Sunday. I love you you guys so much and miss you tons. Ian you are the man and mom, dad, and Jack you guys are the best. Wish i was to hug you all but I know with out a doubt the mission is where im supposed to be. Love you guys more than all the tamales y dulces en el mundo :)

This week we had some really awesome lessons. Its so amazing how the Lord prepares people then puts them in our path. two different people we are teaching we contacted in the streets. it was from following a prompting from the Lord and acting. They both are so ready to hear the gospel its so awesome. The best part about contacting them was both times before i contacted them i talked with 8 or more other people who werent too kind or just didnt care to listen. It was an awesome example how the Lord gives us promptings to see if we´ll act on it. But sometimes nothing comes from it, its just the Lords way to build His trust in us and eventually the next promting is the one that brings the blessings. I guess what ive learned is to always listen to the promptings no matter what.

The mish is really starting to move fast. Now that i can speak fine and understand im able to work harder and talk more with people and the days just fly by. Im excited for everyday in the mish cause its another day to serve and grow my testimony I love you all tons and everyone please give Ian the biggest hug for me, I miss that dude more than anything.

Love
