Faith

Hey fam,

It was another good week. The weeks are starting to fly by! Im learning so much good stuff here its awesome :) Trying to work my hardest every day and give it my all!

We have a new CCM president and he is sweet!! He gave one of the coolest talks on faith and added some good humor too. Ive been working hard this week with my faith and trying to keep all my thoughts and actions towards the Lord. Not going to lie, thats a lot harder than you would expect it to be. But its all good cause I know with faith the Lord gives us weakness to help us grow and turn them into strong things. Love that scripture!

We went into town for a visa thing today and it was awesome. We went to a really nice part of Mexico city and it was beautiful, it was so awesome. Got to work on my Spanish, another humbling moment knowing i got a lot more to learn haha. But i got some laughs. While i was waiting in line i was able to talk to this guy and just make friends. I was able to share a little about the church. Didn't feel prompted to lay a lesson on him but just to plant a little seed, it was really nice. I love talking to people :) After we got some bomb tacos again and just walked around a little.

This week my comp and I taught and the day before i read something cool in PMG. It talked about not thinking what to say but just listen and the Spirit will tell you what to say at the last second. So during our lesson i tried it. While my comp was talking i kept telling myself to just listen and let the spirit guide. Then i felt prompted to start to flip through my scriptures and right after our investigator asked a question. I randomly opened to a scripture that i highlighted the day before that answered his question. It was crazy, talk about the very last second. Very grateful for these learning experiences in the CCM.

I have no doubt that this is the true church also the the Lord will bless us as a result of our faith! I am so grateful to serve the Lord and to have these two years to grow my own testimony! There is no where id rather be then on my mish :) I love you all so much and thank you for being such an awesome example in my life!

2 weeks down

Hey,

First im not sure if i gave a shout out in last weeks letter for my little bros bday so ill start with that. Happy Birthday to the coolest most amazing 9 year old on the planet. Hes got the hair of a model, as athletic as Russ Wilson, and a heart of a lion. I love you Schwinn and I want you to know that there is not a day that goes by that i dont miss you. You and Ian are my bestfriends, love you bro!

Second I just want to thank my bro Ian for being such an awesome example of a hardworking humble missionary. Honestly some days here are tiring but having Ian as an example helps me keep pushing. Love you Ian, thanks for being my rock and bestfriend.

Man second week in the CCM and it was nice. Not going to lie it gets a little tiring but I love the grind. No better feeling then working to prepare to do the Lords work. Just so you all know my pday is thursday while im here in the CCM. If you were wondering. Some cool stuff happened this week. I had to go to the airport for a visa thing. It was crazy, we went and got straight up real street tacos after. Lets just say there was tears of joy haha. Me and my companion were named zone leaders on sunday. Its pretty cool cause i really do love helping people but zone leader or not Im still going to grind it out. My companion is super tight and my district is sweet too. Truly has made this time here really enjoyable. We have been teaching volunteer investigators and we have been doing good. My Spanish is getting pretty good as well. Kind of bummed cause all the Spanish speaking elders from mexico left last wee. We were all such good friends and it was a great way to practice Spanish, i miss those dudes! Oh i heard the Hawks are back in the superbowl, thats super sweet!!

Other than that things have been really good. We went to the temple visitor center today for pday. We watched some awesome vids and it was really nice being on Temple grounds. We couldnt do a session cause its under construction till August, not going to lie i really miss going to the temple. But its in my area so hopefully ill be able to go in August :) Just want you all to know that I love this church. I love knowing that my Family will be together forever and that the Lord knows and loves me. There is no where id rather be then on my mission! Im so humbled to know that the Lord blessed me to have the Gospel in my life especially during these days. I love you all and I hope you are having a great week.

First Week

Hey everyone,

Man the first week here in the MTC has been awesome. It feels like ive been here for 3 weeks!! I'm loving it here, im trying to work my butt of and to be as obedient as possible. I want to be fluent in the language and to teach with the power of the Holy Ghost and the only way to do that is by being obedient and working hard. Putting all my trust in the Lord and asking Him if i do my part that He"ll meet me  half way! Honestlky im so blessed for all the many experiences in my life that have built my testimony. Coming here knowing my purpose as a missionary and with solid faith in The Lord and His plan for me has been Huge!! Honestly so humbled to know that The Lord has helped prepare for my mish. I'm so excited to get put through the refiners fire these next two years, i know that if i give it my all the The Lord will bless me but more importantly bless my Family!

CCM (Thats what they call the MTC here) has been great. The food is pretty banging and the people are awesome. So much spanish here, its been sweet cause its been helping me pick things up. Besides my sweet companeros in my district my best friends here are the Mexican elders who only speak spanish. I chop it up and the daily with them. They are so awesome, so many of them have given up so much just to be here on their missions. They have awesome spirits and they help me pick up spanish. So we play soccer on a basketball court that has a fence around it...so much fun!! Its called cage soccer and that is where boys become men haha A bunch of gringos and mexicans straight balling out!! Today for pday we ran the court for like 2 hours. I had 3 goals, my mexican friends were pumped haha. Also i have the best district ever and my companion is sweet too. We all just spend the day grinding and laughing. Its been great. I've brought the Shaka to the CCM. I use it all the time and have been explaining it to all my spanish friends and teachers. People are starting to use it haha

Just want you all to know i love you guys so much and im so grateful for your love and examples. Also that i know that this church is true and that being on my mission is where im supposed to be. Sorry for being short but i ran out of time. Oh and its crazy beautiful here, mexico is sick! The CCM is in the middle of straight mexico haha

Love, Elder Nobmann
