Que Bueno

Dear Fam,

Another great week in the mission. So grateful for all the blessings and help from the Lord.

Elder Polanco and i had some great lessons this week. Also some pretty crazy experinces. But everyday this week was a great day. On Sunday church started and none of our investigators came. We were kind of down but all of a sudden two of our inv. arrived. Its a couple, the girl has come to church the past two weeks but the guy hasnt been able to because of work. But this week they both came, we were so pumped. Que padre! What a blessings, its so awesome. I love this mish so much. Its so amazing how strong the spirit is when you teach about the Restoration or other things about the Gospel. Every lesson my testimony grows so much. 

On Sunday I had to give a talk in sacrament. It was on Love one another. It went really great, I related it to service and we can show love through service. I shared two examples in my life who emulate love and service, jesucristo and my mom. Thank you mom for always being an amzing example of love and service. Your example has been so amazing in my life and I am so grateful for you! I will never doubt the truthfullness of this gospel because of your example in my life. Alma 56: 47-48 :) 

Life here in Mexico is pretty good. The work is tough but the Spirit is strong. The food and chili here has got me in tears of joy daily. Also the spanish is getting better everyday! I love you all tons and im so grateful for everyones support!!

Hey,

Man this week really just flew by. It had some ups and its fair share of downs. But i love it cause I can feel the Lords love :) Oh quick shout out to my cuz Luke, Happy birthday big dog. I hope you had an awesome day yesterday!!

Awesome story...Tuesday night we had a cita with a less active member at 8pm. We meet with her every week at 8pm and she is always there. But for some reason this week she couldnt meet with us. So we went to meet with another family, turns out they werent home either. My comp said he lets go visit this one family in the ward. We both felt the spirit about it so went to their house. All the people in my area live in big apartment buildings so you have to beep their number so they can open the door to let us in the building. Anyway we beeped them and they said come on up. Turns out they have been having a really diffuclt time the past two days with one of their children. That night they were talking how they needed the Elders to visit so they could recieve a blessings. So they were looking for our number nad were about to call the Bishop but all off a sudden their door beeped. It was us coming to visit, they were shocked. We were shocked after they told us the story.

It was an amazing exaple how the Lord knows and loves us so much. He knows when we are struggling and when we earnestly seek Him and His help He will help us. We were able to give the family blessings and pray for them. It was really such an amzing spiritual experience. The fe of that family is so strong, had me and my comp in tears.

I love this work so much and im so humbled to have the opportunity to serve the Lord and be a representative of Jesucristo. I know the Lord listens to our prayers and loves us so much!! I love you all tons and i hope you have an awesome week!!

O for Awesome

Hey,

This week really just flew by but we saw many blessings during the week. By the end of the day Elder Polanco and I are so tired, its awesome.

This week we had two people say they wanted to prepare for baptism which was awesome cause we have been praying for them. Also we taught some awesome lessons with some new people which was really cool. The Spanish is getting better everyday. At first i was nervous to try to talk to new people because I cant understand well or speak well. But this week I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if I speak to everyone every second of the day and try my hardest if He´ll help with the language. It was crazy, Elder Polanco and i contacted like crazy and so many people looked at me with the most confused face ever. But it was awesome because it helped so much and my spanish grew so much! Im at about 70 percent with the language which is a huge blessings. Been fasting and praying like crazy for help :)

Pretty awesome week, we went to The Visitors Center with a couple investigators on sunday and it went great. We could all feel the spirit so strong!! The mission life is great. Everyday is so hard and is a straight grind. I love it cause I know Im doing the Lords work and through my hardwork the Lord can bless so many peoples lives. whenever I get frustrated with the language or miss home i just say a pray and then work harder. My favorite thing Ian told me to do, whenever the day is tough just work harder. Cause when you work harder you are filled withh the Spirit :) 

I love you all so much and Im so grateful for your support. Im sorry if i dont write everyone back each week, usually dont have tons of time. But im so grateful your letters. Hope you all have a awesome week :)

Cada Día

Hey,

Man this past week flew by so fast. The days are long and tiring but I love it! Spanish is getting better everyday. Some days I can understand everything but some days i cant. Its so weird but im loving the experince! 

Heres a retty funny story that happened this week. In a lesson we were talking about Jesus example and in spanish i said ¨i want to be like Jesus¨ but my comp kind of looked at me weird. Turns out i forgot to add one word and i told everyone that I want to be Jesus jaja Elder Polonco and i laughed pretty hard after. Oh so to wash our clothes we use a bucket and a washboard, which is pretty cool. But to save time I usually just use my abs cause its easier..jaj just kidding :) My compañeo is awesome. Whenever i get frustrated with the language he will start speaking english. Its honestly the funniest thing ever. We laugh pretty hard. Its crazy cause we only speak spanish cause he doesnt know english that well. But its cool cause i havent spoken english in a week in a half. 

Pretty cool week spiritually. Last sunday i fasted for my spanish because its been a struggle. The next day was crazy. Things that have never made sense to me in spanish, made sense. I could understand more and speak way better. It was a huge blessing. I love that with prayer and scripture study the Lord really will bless you in so many ways. This week I gave to blessings in spanish which was crazy. First time. I love the mish and teaching people the Gospel because I know it changes lives :) 

Just want you all to know that there is no where else id rather be than here in Mexico serving a mission. Its a huge blessing to be able to literally forget yourself for two years and focus on the Lord and other people. I love the work cause its hard and it changes peoples lives. I also love you all and I am so grateful for your support!!
