Donas

Hey Fam,

Everyone told me that when you pass the year mark in the mish time just flies by. Honestly I didnt really believe them but these last couple of weeks I am starting to believe them a lot more. Time has just been flying but Im learning something new everyday.

This past week was pretty rough. We had to do some changes with some Elders in the zone that are having a couple problems. The changes went well, one of the Elders came to my area and at the end of the two days he didnt want to get out of bed because he was so tired. He told me "wow Elder you really worked me hard this week", it made me laugh jaja he is a good guy.

My comp and I just started to teach a family of three, they are really awesome. They actually ended up going to church on Sunday and they liked it a lot. The mom is the person who rents us our house. Its crazy because missionaries have more than a year and a half in that house and we were the first ones who talked to her about the gospel. Its pretty crazy because her and her family are really ready to hear the gospel. I realized that sometimes we look all around to share the gospel but we forget about the people who are sitting right in front of us. Sometimes the people who we think would never listen to the gospel are the ones who need it most. Its been cool to see the joy that her and her kids have when they listen to the gospel. When they went to church her daughter was so pumped to hangout with the young women.

Well there are a lot of great things that happen during the week but sometimes its hard to share over email. But i can honestly say and testify that this is the church of Jesus Christ and that it really does change peoples lives. I am so grateful for the sacrifices that my family has made that helped me grow my testimony of this gospel just from seeing their example. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and blessings the lives of so many people, including mine.

I love you all tons and I hope you have a great week :)

Semana Santa

Hey Fam,

Had a pretty long week this past week but I was able to learn a lot. Everything is going well here in Mexico.

This past week we went and worked with the APs and got to work with my old comp Elder Matos again. Not going to lie, I really enjoyed it. We had a couple really great lessons and after we were able to talk and see how we can get better. He is a champ, really do miss having him as a comp.

It was cool because I was able to visit my old area. When I was there we started to teach a little kid who was 10 who cant hear well and as a result cant speak well or read well. A lot of missionaries passed by his house but never taught him because they just focused on his mom. When my comp and I got to the area we went and visited them. We felt the spirit really strong that said we should teach him. So my comp and I just started to draw, act out, and use a picture book to teach him. Honestly it was one of the best experiences in my mish. Well I had changes before his baptism and I wasn't really able to say goodbye but its great because he ended up getting baptised. Well when I was in the area we passed by his house to see him. As we came up to the door and he saw me, he ran up to me and just jumped in my arms and gave me a huge hug. I could help but just cry a little, really made my day.

The best part is that since he has been going to church a lot of people have gotten up and started to share their testimony about the great example he has been for them. I love this story because I learned that if we follow all the promptings of the spirit the Lord will guide and help us help his children.

I know this church is true and i know that every single person needs to hear the gospel and it doesn't matter if they are different or if they have weaknesses because the Lord loves us all equally.

Love,

Grind

Hey fam,

Well the caption is pretty much how our week went. My comp and I have been working really hard and its honestly been a grind. We are working with a lot of great people and we have been serving a lot with the ward.

This past week we had to go to a meeting with president, APs, and all the zone leaders. It was really great, we learned a lot and we are trying to apply it all to our zone and area. This week was really cool because we were able to work a lot with those members. They all at one point shared their testimony or their conversion and honestly it was really awesome. Its so great to hear their testimonies because it helped give me strength to go out and find new people. I love how the Lord works, he is honestly a loving Heavenly Father. With all these members who are really different than each other the Lord knew how to work with every single one of them to helped them receive the gospel.

I know that our Heavenly Father loves us more than we can imagine and he literally know us perfectly; our needs, doubt, worries, strengths, honestly everything. I know that we are never alone and that when we feel alone all we need to do is look for his help. The Savior is always knocking at the door, we just need to open it and let Him in.

The church is true, the family is eternal, and God is our loving Heavenly Father. I love you all and I hope you have a great week.
